drug/dental/vision coverage not provided by Medicare, employee
assistance plans, flexible benefit plans, benefit plans for individuals
and their families. Other products and services include fund
management, investment and advisory services for more than 200
institutional clients. It also undertakes reinsurance for life,
property and casualty, accident and health and annuity reinsurance.

formerly known as Industrial-Alliance Life Insurance Co. The
Group's principal activity is to provide insurance and financial
products and services in Canada. It offers a wide range of life
and health insurance products, savings and retirement plans, RRSPs,
investment funds, mortgage loans, securities brokerage services, general
insurance and other financial services. The Group's products are
available on an individual and group basis. The Group has
operations across Canada, Quebec and certain regions in the Western US.
In 2004, the Group acquired Lynch Investments Ltd., Services de Gestion
Evolution FM Inc., additional 50.25% of FundEX Investments Inc. and BLC-Edmond
de Rothschild Asset Management Inc.

The Group's principal activities are to provide financial
products and services, including individual life insurance, group life
and health insurance, pension products, annuities and mutual funds.
The products and services are provided to individual and group customers
in Canada, the US and Asia. The Group is a holding company of The
Manufacturers Life Insurance Company. In addition, the Group also
offers reinsurance services and provides investment management services
with respect to the Company's general fund assets, segregated fund
assets and mutual funds and in Canada and Asia, to institutional
customers. On April 28, 2004, the Group acquired John Hancock
Financial Services Inc..

products and services to individual and corporate customers. Sun
Life's wealth management segment includes its asset management, mutual
fund, pension, annuity and trust and brokerage operations. The
protection segment comprises the company's insurance, or protection,
operations around the world, including its group life and health
insurance businesses in the US, Canada and the UK, the individual
insurance businesses and reinsurance operations. Sun Life operates
in Canada, the US, the UK and Asia.
